Military Salute

MemorialWebI made this arrangement as a tribute for those valiant soldiers who gave their lives for our freedoms and liberty.

It begins in the rain which represents tears of grief for the loss of our beloved men and women in uniform. I intertwined the British Last Post with the American Taps because I have been privileged to know British and Canadians with the same passion for liberty and freedom. It includes a 21 gun salute that they all deserve followed by “Flowers of the Forest”, a traditional regimental lament.

The final song in this tribute is “Amazing Grace.” I included it to create a contrast between the grief and great joy for those who are believers in Jesus the Christ.

Revelations 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”ween the grief and great joy for those who are believers in Jesus the Christ. Revelations 21:4 “4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
